President - Kristen Harris
Leads all PTO general and board meetings; acts as the parent and community liaison; partners with Principal and Asst Principal to coordinate activities and meet funding needs. Coordinates the work of all the officers and committees so that the purpose of the organization is served.
Vice President - Joni Pearson
Supports President at meetings and in communication, drives marketing efforts, stands in when President not available. Oversees Technology & Communications Committee.
Secretary - Volunteer Needed
Maintains a record of all PTO general and board meetings, creates agenda for meetings, maintains bulletin board. Oversees Bilingual Committee.
Treasurer - Melissa Knoernschild
Maintains an accurate accounting of all PTO funds; collects and disburses payment for all PTO functions; collects information for and submits documentation to governing entities as necessary. Oversees sponsorships, spiritwear, and school supplies committees.
Volunteer Coordinators - Kristen Pereira and Miriam Christman
Generates a list of volunteers willing to assist during PTO events, coordinates volunteers for events, maintains contact with volunteers throughout the year. Oversees Room Parent, LLI Program Coordinator, and Teacher Appreciation.

Leads recruit & lead all class helpers; communicates information from PTO board to class helpers, works to get contact information from helpers. Teacher Appreciation. Co-Chairs: Megan Byrd-York & Colandra Ashley
Leads head up committee of volunteers & organizes teacher appreciation events throughout the year. Committee members support the leads in planning, creating crafts, and volunteering at teacher appreciation events, Volunteer to help>
Sponsorships. Chair: Allison Monroe
Call on local business for sponsorships and special events like spirit nights, communicate to and with committee members, follow up on documentation needed for donors. Committee supports lead in calling on business for sponsorships; follows up with sponsors, write thank you notes to donors. Join the committee>
Community Outreach. Lead: Volunteer Needed
Shares and distributes important information about the PTO to the external community, as well as topics of concern that inform and invite action. Join the committee>
After-School Programs. Chair: Nicole Valentine
Facilitate enriching after school programs for all students. Coordinate activities with school administration and district requirements. Parents needed to lead/host clubs or activities, or supervise students. Volunteer to help>

Maintains & administers the PTO website, Facebook page, and Remind communications.

Supports and communicates with our partners at First United Methodist Church
BoxTops & Grocery Program Coordinator: Joni Pearson
Develops a program to increase BoxTop collections and submits BoxTops on a monthly basis; coordinates grocery store programs
Bilingual Committee. Leads: Sarah and Joaquin Baez
Assist PTO Board with translations for flyers, newsletters, other written communication
Spiritwear Coordinators: Sarah Rouse & Shannon Elliott
Create design ideas for T-shirts, maintain sales history, conduct price research & place orders with suppliers, create order forms, collect & deliver orders to Caldwell families.
Yearbook Committee. Lead: Volunteer Needed
Assists Board Secretary with creation of yearbook. May take pictures at school events, gathers parent & teacher photos for yearbook use, assembles/arranges layout/pages, coordinates marketing efforts for sale of yearbook, assists in distribution. (Most of the effort is Feb-May)
What is a Board Member?
Article VI. Section 2 of our Bylows state: "The duties of the Executive Board shall be to transact business between meetings in preparation for the general meeting, create standing rules and policies, create standing and temporary committees, prepare and submit a budget to the membership, approve routine bills, and prepare reports and recommendations to the membership."
